Feeding the world: Harmony between small-scale and intensive livestock production
Please find below a link to a talk given by Prof John Hodges in Beijing on the theme Feeding the world: Harmony between small-scale and intensive livestock production. His CV is on page 12 of the document.
When we read his presentation we were sure it would interest and stimulate those in the farming world. His address outlines and discusses many of the critical, technical and cultural issues that need addressing if small holder farmers are to make a positive contribution to sustainable food production.
Many of the issues he talks about are often missed by governments and business who see large farms as the best way to use land.
Please find attached the article in pdf, also in MS Word and also the photo of John Hodges which is on page 12 with his CV.
